MARSHALL McLAURY MONROE - Brief Bio

Marshall Monroe is a Visioning Advisor, Communicator, Executive Producer, and serial Innovator who spent 14 years as a Creative Executive with the Walt Disney Company. At Disney he created shows and technologies in use in every one of their major theme parks around the world, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. His imaginative concept for Blizzard Beach, an $80 million water park in Walt Disney World, has for over a decade been consistently ranked first or second in the nation in creative originality and guest attendance. He is founder of Marshall Monroe Magic, an exclusive consultancy in Northern New Mexico which researches Creative Excellence and advises such clients as Cirque du Soleil, The Michael Jackson Estate, HBO, DIRECTV, NASA, Sandia National Laboratories, Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures, The U.S. Department of Defense, Wine.com, The New Mexico Economic Development Department, The Texas Department of Agriculture, and The National Inventors Hall of Fame.

Monroe’s firm is pioneering a new class of professional services, bringing creative development skills, talents and tools to bear on visioning, mission transformation, and grand strategic challenges with organizations worldwide. Currently, the firm is heavily involved in leveraging the transformational effects of mobile-social digital technologies toward creating break-out value for clients. Working with leading internet e-retailer wine.com, MMMagic conceptualized and produced the award-winning wine.com mobile app for iPad.

An expert in creative strategic transformation, visioning, communication technologies, and storytelling, Monroe is also a member of the Director of National Intelligence's Intelligence Science Board.

Monroe has developed a proprietary program, dubbed Quantum Leap Mechanics™, which he leverages to drive customized successes across four practice areas: Commercial, National Security, Public Policy, and Non-Profit. Monroe is former founding Chair of the New Mexico Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries. He led a strategic planning effort for the state in this industry sector which resulted in an economic impact increase from $8 million annually to over $1.2 billion in less than five years. He holds 14 patents and is the author of two books on the topic of applied imagination: “Dream Too Big?” and “Invent Now!”.
